Empowering Neurodivergent
Voices
Fixation Liberation is a podcast created for and by neurodivergent minds, providing a space for people to share their hyperfixations. At Fixation Liberation, we believe that everyone should be able to talk freely about what they are passionate about without guilt or shame. Our goal is to give a voice back to a group that has been historically discriminated against and bring awareness to issues in the neurodivergent community. Through shared experiences and candid discussions, we work towards dismantling societal stigmas surrounding neurodivergent passions, promoting a culture of acceptance and celebration.

Our Story
As many hyperfixations starts, our podcast came from a small idea and grew into something much bigger. In February of 2024, inside of a podcasting course at Alma College, Moss Ely (They/He) was tasked with coming up with a long-form, multi-episode podcast. It started with an idea for a podcast all about hyper-fixations, having heard and personally experienced anxiety around sharing their hyperfixations with those around them.
This simple assignment would turn into Moss's New Media Studies capstone, pushing them to bring the podcast to new heights. This giant leap brought forth a passion that they had never felt before, they had found what they wanted to do with their life. Now graduated, Moss continues to create and release episodes, being a voice of acceptance and progress in their community and beyond.
